"Be creepy with me."
If it was anytime other than October. Or Halloween Season. Or anyone other than my best friend saying this - it would be weird.
However, last week was the culmination of all these things. So this year, I decided to hang up my usual cutesy routine and trade up for something a little more - edgy. Trolling Pinterest and Insta for inspiration, I found a few amazing looks that seemed feasible, cost effective and definitely... c r e e p y (most only requiring a little face paint or existing makeup I would have at home).
At first, I was torn (so much pun intended) between a Zombie and Skeleton. I soon decided that the Skeleton would be more of a challenge (cosmetically). I have never attempted any sort of costume or theatrical makeup before, so these images were my 'test drive' for Halloween night.
I hope you all enjoy this look, and have a frightfully fabulous holiday weekend. ;)
This look requires very little supplies (hallelujah) and can be achieved in somewhere between 25-45 minutes depending on skill. Rome wasn't built in a day, so get comfy buttercup.
Nothing about this look has to be overdone, and there are no rules. Does a black and white filter make you look scarier? For sure. Feeling some fake blood? Go for it. Want a skeleton neck? Use some eye shadow to darken the spaces in between your 'bones'. Want to wear a turtle neck so you don't have to create a skeleton neck? Done. For Halloween night, I plan on rocking some plain dark clothing, and slicking my hair back for an extra creepy vibe.
