We all get into routines.
Get Up. Get Glam. Go to work. Get shit done. Come home. Sweat pants. Repeat.
During the regular work week, I do not typically take the time to make sure my makeup is flawless (gasp!). Or ensure that my brows are on point [Okay, that's a bold faced lie - there is always time for brows].
But most of the time, it's a Tuesday. My cat eye is no where to be seen. My highlighter is far from fleek. That shimmer on my lips? Chapstick homegirl, chapstick.
However, when the weekend rolls around... this caterpillar transforms into a glorious butterfly. Smokey eye? Blush? Bronzer? Lipstick? You're damn right. I look forward to my weekends, especially when my guy and I have a date night planned, It's the perfect excuse to ditch that sad pony tail [or in my case - a three day old unwashed hair bun] and get adventurous with your hair and makeup.
I just wanna look good for ya, good for ya... . (Insert Selena Gomez music video here)
Soft Date Night Makeup
I recently purchased the Naked3 pallet and have been dying to try it out. For this look, I wanted something soft, but more dramatic than my daily routine. I focused on warm shades and lots of highlighter. Instead of my regular black liquid liner, I finished my eyes with purple and [of course] lots of mascara.
Date Night Hair-DO
Every time I see Ariana Grande I can't help but think - DAMN. I love her hair. So bouncy, and even though she totally needs to mix it up, it's definitely not your 'run of the mill' look. This past weekend, I put on my celebrity pants and gave it a shot.
I used a 1 inch barrel curler to curl the ends of all my hair. Next, I gathered a section of hair starting at the tops of my ears. I then smoothed with a brush and secured with a small black elastic. Pull tight to get the poofed, slightly messy effect. Teasing underneath the tail portion that's been pulled up will give you extra volume. I went back and touched up a few curls that died in the process, and lastly finished with hairspray.
