It's November 3rd, so naturally I have only one thing on my mind... C H R I S T M A S (insert shrieks). Lately, I've been running on a dangerous combination of caramel americanos (absolutely obsessed with a new little spot close to my house, Dog & Bicycle Cafe) and built up Christmas spirit. To quench my current holiday thirst, I thought I would share some SERIOUSLY gorgeous farmhouse christmas ideas. There is a strong possibility that my unhealthy addiction to 'Fixer Upper' has drawn me to farmhouse decor, but I am totally drawn to all things cozy + simple this year.
Whether you have your Holiday decor already planned out, are going to simply pay a visit to your storage bins, or can't even think about decorating yet - I hope these images inspire you! I know I'll be incorporating a thing or five...
First of all, this white washed barn wood table is to die for. So clean and sets off the greenery beautifully. Use real pine boughs & branches to give your dining room a woodsy smell. Overall, this room is so soft but still interesting!
GAH! #entrywaygoals. I don't know where they got their bench, but I NEED one in my life. It's the perfect farmhouse inspired piece. I also like how her storage baskets add functionality and some extra cuteness to this space. A few simple throw pillow are giving some serious holiday vibes without having Santa's face plastered to the front of them. Sweater material + plush throws = the perfect place to pop down and pull on your winter boots.
Everything about this dinning + living combo is insanely beautiful, but can we TALK about that fireplace! I love the all white surround, and pine accents in the logs. What a crafty idea for either a fireplace that no longer works or is just plain in need of an upgrade. So crisp, easy and looks completely chic. I am digging the faux frosty branches and clean lines in this space.
WHY did I never think of using a metal bin as a tree base?! Most tree skirts you find in stores are either kinda blah or gaudy but THIS is darling! Plus, no chance of overwatering your tree and having your presents drowning in the aftermath. A cozy plaid throw and simple decor items complete this ideal farmhouse sitting area.
YAY! I know you've been waiting for Christmas signage and here it is! These large metal letters can be found at nearly every craft store and tend to go on major sale in early November (i.e. now)! You could make a small wreath like she did here for the 'O' or use another object. Maybe a giant glittery snowflake? Fun ornament? The world is your oyster.
Basically the cutest thing I've ever seen, it's too hard to pick my favorite thing from this space! The french country love seat pairs so nicely with the hand knitted sweater blanket tree base and the large shiplap on the walls.
This is TOO darling! I love the idea of decking out an entry table for the Holidays - especially if you are like me and lack a fireplace mantel. :( Crisp, white shiplap sets off the dark furniture and pops of red & green giving it a classic feel. Putting together a little Christmas feature wall is a great way to create a BIG impact.
So.... this may be my favorite Christmas home inspiration photo of all time. Something about all the frosty, muted colors paired with vintage fabrics and ornaments creates such a perfect understated elegance. Plus - how adorable are those throw pillows?! I love the simple red stripes and graphic writing!
Last but certainly not least - Christmas in the kitchen! I think this idea is wonderful. It gives you another excuse to add an extra tree, and create a whole different theme, or feel. This home has some gorgeous classic Christmas elements that make me want to whitewash all of my furniture and break out the red bows!
