Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?
You, duh. So why not have a makeup space that reflects that. Get it, reflects? Okay, I'm done. But it all seriousness...
You probably have an old mirror leaning up against a wall in your house that came from questionable beginnings. Garage sale, parent's basement, Target 8 years ago when you went to college... Whatever. It has nail polish on it, is cracked in the corner and tilts especially hard to one side. So why not give it a little TLC? Repurpose that thing into something that will HIGHLIGHT your space instead of bring it down.
My make shift makeup desk is a combination of thrifted pieces and donations (thanks mamma bear) from over the last several years. The mirror itself is dark brown and thought functional - is completely hideous.
I was a tad nervous because I've never painted a mirror before (or fake wood), but found it insanely easy and was please with what a HUGE change in made to the room. The gold compliments the pink details nicely and brightens the whole corner.
