Suddenly - you have a gruesome realization. It's already October and your home is FAR from haunted. Halloween is only a few short weeks away, and there are no ghosts, gourds, or goblins to be found.
Whether you're hosting a festive party or simply trying to get in the spirit (so much pun intended) - gg has some ghoulishly good ideas just in time for the Holiday.
No need to run to your mummy (I need my own show), these cheap and easy decor projects are time and budget friendly.
Start with a couple of dollar store styrofoam pumpkins. Two coats of white acrylic paint later, and that 'cheesy/cheap' look is gone. Next dry brush black or grey paint onto the surface after the white paint has dried. If you mess up - don't fret simply wipe with a damp paper towel. This will give them a distressed and vintage vibe.
Okay, some this decor came less from my own two hands and more from your local, friendly Target retailer... However, these little wooden 'EEK' letters and plastic dipped pumpkin were too cute to pass up for a total of six bucks! My glass lamp complete with moss and a twig from Glacier National park make the perfect backdrop. :)
